Buckles is the life and laughter of the Radio Diamond family, the practical joker whose Jamaican wit and infectious humour keep everyone smiling. Every week he shares his cherished reggae collection with listeners, keeping the culture alive while spreading joy and positive vibes across the airwaves.
Behind the jokes stands a man of deep commitment, a devoted father, husband, and entrepreneur who runs the much-loved Buckles & Jerdine Caribbean Kitchen in Hulme, Manchester. Even with the demands of a busy family business, Buckles never turns his back on Radio Diamond. He supports the station, the presenters, and the community with loyalty and heart.
Known as the big brother of Radio Diamond, Buckles is always ready to support everyone around him. Call on him and he will be there, “soon come,” as he famously says. His larger-than-life personality and deep love for music and people make him a treasured part of the Radio Diamond family.
